Praxeologie beruht auf einem apriorischen, erkenntnistheoretischen Konzept, das verständlich macht, dass das Handeln als Begriff dient, um grundlegende Zusammenhänge zwischen Lebenswelt, unseren Sinnen und dem Verstand einordnen zu können. Der Begriff des Handelns versteht sich als logische Brücke zwischen Außenwelt (Sinnen, Wahrnehmung) und Innenwelt (Verstand). Diese logische Verknüpfung erlaubt eine wachsende, in sich konsistente Theorie zu entfalten, die die Grundlage für alle Wissensbereiche bildet.[2]
Die erkenntnistheoretischen Grundlagen werden täglich durch das Handeln (Hypothesen, Forschungsdesign, Verifikation und Falsifikation usw.) praktiziert. Diese Praxis ist im erweiterten Sinne wie Versuchstechnik zu verstehen - eine Theorie und Technik, um Versuche anzuordnen und auszuwerten - oder irgend eine Erkenntnis mit logischen Werkzeugen zu ermitteln (d.h. zu verstehen). Da die Aufstellung dieser Grundlagen Handlungen sind, kann der Begriff der Handlung selbst nicht mehr eliminiert werden, sondern ist bereits inhärenter, denknotwendiger Bestandteil.
Diese Methodik steht in mancher Hinsicht im Gegensatz zum üblichen Empirismus, beim dem Erkenntnis freilich nicht a priori, sondern ex post geschöpft wird. Die Praxeologie erlaubt es, den apriorischen Anteil unseres Wissens in allen wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen sauber abzuleiten, was insbesondere in den Sozialwissenschaften von Interesse ist. Auch jede handwerkliche Tätigkeit wird durch praxeologische Erkenntnisse begleitet, weil es um wählbare Mittel zur Zielerreichung geht. Damit diese speziellen Mittel des Handelns überhaupt gedacht und gewählt werden können, implizieren sie ihrerseits notwendige Prämissen.[3] Die Grundlagen solcher Tätigkeiten lassen sich daher stets apriorisch beschreiben, wenngleich diese Tatsache in unserem Alltag so selbstverständlich erscheint, dass sie uns nicht einmal auffallen muss.
Was ist nicht praxeologisch?
Nicht praxeologisch ist jeder Versuch, Theorien und Annahmen zu kreieren und zu etablieren, der mit den denknotwendigen Voraussetzungen des Handelns (auch 'Axiom des Handelns' genannt) im Widerspruch steht. Das 'Axiom des Handelns' ist ein Paket von interdisziplinären Sub-Paketen begrifflicher Voraussetzungen möglicher Handlungen. Rechnen, Zählen und Messen sind zum Beispiel ebenfalls Handlungen ebenso wie mit anderen Menschen freiwillig zu kooperieren. Alle diese Handlungen setzen a priori die damit notwendigen Prämissen voraus.
